The Compassionate Friends

Greater Manchester, NH, Chapter

We Need Not Walk Alone

About Us

The Compassionate Friends is a self-help, mutual assistance organization offering friendship and understanding to bereaved families following the death of a child.
The Greater Manchester Area Chapter is one of over 600 chapters in the United States and 29 countries throughout the world.  We are non-denominational.
The mission of TCF is to assist families in the positive resolution of grief and to provide information to help others be supportive.
Healing comes through sharing.  Those who are further along in their grief reach out and give support and understanding to those who are newly bereaved.  Meetings are safe havens where members feel free to talk about their children and the emotions they are going through.  We learn we are not alone in facing this terrible journey and together we heal.
How does the chapter run?
Our chapter is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization.  We have no fees or dues and run entirely on voluntary contributions.  Members work in honor of their children and siblings to oversee the running of the chapter.  These members also give back to honor those who reached out to them when their own grief was new.
